Buckwheat Honey has a dark, robust flavor and isn’t as sweet compared to traditional honey. It has molasses undertones as well. The strong flavor can be overpowering in a cup of tea, but adds a great, rich flavor in baking or used as a spread on toast. Buckwheat honey is known for its high antioxidant content and sore throat soothing abilities.

Honey is best when it’s the closest to it’s a natural state. We are proud to keep it that way. Roxbury Mountain Apiaries produces and sources only the best raw and unfiltered honey with nothing added to it. We heat the honey just enough to easily pour it into a bottle, which is important to preserve the naturally occurring enzymes so unique to raw honey. Additionally, we avoid filtering the honey because doing so removes some pollen. Our approach, to gently strain the honey, allows the pollens to remain but removes any bits of honeycomb or wax that would not be edible.
